UQU Cultural Fiesta

UQU Cultural Fiesta is here again!

This is an annual event organized by UQ Union in collaboration with all UQ International Societies including UQMSA. There will be over 20 booths featuring the unique cultures of various countries for you to visit. You will also be able to taste different cuisines at the booths on the very day, either for a fee or for FREE!

Date: 6th of May 2014 (Tuesday)

Time: 10am – 2pm

Place: UQ Campbell Place (around UQ Union)

UQMSA Outdoor Excursion

How's uni going? Stress about mid semester exam?

Well why not take a few minutes off to plan what to do for Easter Break!

Introducing Outdoor Excursion Sem 1! This time we are going for 2 main activities:

1) Laser Skirmish (Like Paintball but outdoor Laser Shooting, trust me no bruises end of the day)
2) Lamington National Park (Visit Moran's Fall, A waterfall)

Time: Both 10am to 1pm
Price: $35 per person!
Place: In between STA Travel and On a roll Bakery

UQMSA Cafe Crawl

Care to take a tour around Brisbane whilst eating delicious cakes and looking classy drinking coffees/tea ?? Well, UQMSA is going to do just that by bringing you...CAFE CRAWL !

So when is it ?

Date : 15/3/2014 ( this Saturday guys )

Time : 9.30am to 2.00pm

Price : $7 for 3 cafés

Do remember that tickets are pre booked. So come by to our booth tomorrow and the day after, 12/3/2014 ( Wednesday ) and 13/3/2014 ( Thursday ) to get your tickets !!! Our booth will be located near UQ UNION, between STA travel and On A Roll Bakery !!

UQMSA Sem 1 Welcoming BBQ 2014

As usual, UQMSA starts off the year with the:

WELCOMING BBQ !

Date: 8th March 2014 (Saturday)

Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Venue: Southbank Parklands

The exact location of the Welcome BBQ Pits will be very near to the South Bank 3 CityCat stop. It will be nearby the Statue of Confucius & The Shore Restaurant as well. Please refer below for clearer directions:

We'll be getting the stoves hot and our spatulas flipping as we'll be preparing good ol' barbecue goodies for you guys! Apart from just bread and sausages, we've added variety to our menu this year by letting you sample other food too! There will be some games after the eating session to heighten the excitement. Participants stand a chance to walk away with prizes besides a full tummy as we are giving out hampers to the Top 3 teams (1st, 2nd & 3rd)!

Welcome Back to UQMSA! (Sem 1 Market Day)

A new semester of a brand new year is commencing soon, which also means that 2014 Sem 1 Market Day is around the corner! UQMSA welcomes you back to our big family again!

We’re also having a LUCKY DRAW on Market Day! 60 lucky numbers will be pre-drawn by our committees. Members signing up at our booth whose sequence numbers coincide with these lucky numbers will walk away a prize, including 50% off UQMSA membership fee, food & beverage vouchers, Riverlife adventure activities gift certificates, Cineplex gift certificates and many more!!
