BBQ @ Roma Street Parklands

Hello everyone!

Thanks for signing up on Market Day! It was really great to meet everyone. For those who didn't make it to Market Day, come along to the BBQ this Saturday to sign up! Membership is only $7 for the entire year.

It will be held at Roma Street Parkland and kicks off at 3 pm and we estimate that it will last till 7 pm. If you are unsure of how to get there, the easiest way to get there is by train, and the stop is Roma Street. Once you leave the platform, you will see clear directions to the park. Look out for committee members or flyers that will guide you to the right spot once you arrive! If you miss them, take a stroll and try spotting the Jalur Gemilang! =)

For train and bus times, go to http://www.translink.com.au/ The journey planner on the homepage is very easy to use. If you would like to know more about Roma Street Parkland and additional information on how to get there, do head over to http://www.romastreetparkland.com/gettingThere.asp#train

Those who signed up on Market Day, please bring your receipt along so that we can give you your membership cards, which you can start using immediately to claim your food! This is a good opportunity to meet fellow Malaysians, people interested in our diverse culture or even others who are in the same course as you, so don't miss out!

Hope your first week is going great and that we'll see you this Saturday! It's gonna be a blast!

Regards,
Your committee for 2007.

Coming right up!

Thanks to all those who turned up on Market Day and signed up! :) I wasn't there myself but I was told that it went great, and some of you brought your friends along, which is beyond awesome. The more the merrier! Soon enough, we'll post up pictures from that day.

If you didn't manage to make it, don't worry because our first BBQ is coming up! You can still meet all the lovely people that make this association. Bring your friends along, and just a reminder that they don't have to be Malaysian! Any UQ student can join our society. Watch this spot cause we'll be announcing all the details very soon but we're 99.9999999% sure that it'll be this Saturday at Roma Street Parklands. Okay, make that 101%!

See you around campus and hope your first week of uni is going great!
