UQMSA Semester 2 Activities!!

Hi Fellow Members!

Hope first day of uni was good for everyone! :D

As the semester starts, so does our list of activities for you guys by UQMSA!

First of all, THIS Wednesday, 28th of July, we’ll be having our booth for Market Day at the Great Court, Booth 126 (Richards Building, Building 5)!

Come grab your breakfast / lunch with us as we’re selling delicious Mee Goreng at the price of only $3! You’ll also get FREE popiah while stock last! Get your friend to sign up with us to enjoy all our activities on special members’ price and also get a free drink on that day! :)

There’ll also be information on our events for the rest of this year, plus employment information useful for those who are graduating soon! Do drop by and bring your friends!

Next in line, we’ll be having the traditional Welcoming BBQ THIS SATURDAY, 31st of July!Come join us in Southbank for some BBQ and have fun! You’ll be promised to meet lots of new friends and also get to know more about our upcoming activities we’ve planned for this semester! This event is wholly sponsored by UQMSA so it is FREEEEEE!!!

Last semester we went out to the sea and did some surfing, this time around, we’re going to see some Whales yo!

This is the once in a lifetime experience and you’ll have to see it NOW! Why now? Because, we’ve got the lowest rates everrr! Check this out if you won’t believe! 

Only $60 for the whole trip including transport, whale watching, and a short trip to Surfer’s Paradise for some free and easy time! I’m excited already! :D

Here’s the itinerary:

7.50 am: Depart from UQ
9.30 am: Arrive at Main Beach and embark on cruise
12.30 pm: Return from cruise and depart to Surfers Paradise for lunch and free time
5.00 pm: Depart from Surfers Paradise
6.30 pm: Arrive at UQ

Come register with us on Market Day and at Welcoming BBQ to reserve yourself a place because the bus spaces are, well, limited!

AUG Brisbane International Students Welcome Party

Dear Members,

Greetings from AUG Brisbane !!

There’s another AUG event near the horizon!

Yes, on the 23rd of July 2010, AUG will hold a WELCOME PARTY !! This party will be held at our office, level 1, suite 1, 155 Queen Street, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be lots of food and lots of people! Also, since this is called a welcome party, you can find new faces and new friends to talk to! If you’re new to Brisbane, this party will be an excellent opportunity to meet new people and get you settled in this country! If you’re not a newcomer, however, don’t worry! You’re welcome to attend, have a chat and grab some foods!

The dress-code for this party is CYAN / LIGHT BLUE. We want you to show up and be as BLUE as possible! Be creative, be imaginative, be the one who catches everyone’s attention! You will be remembered (for better or worse...) but the most important thing is that you will have fun!

So remember, 23rd of July 2010, from 1 – 3 p.m., and wear something BLUE (cyan blue, light blue, blue-ish blue, etc) !
