New Tips for the Year

Hi all,

These tips might not sound new to some or perhaps most of us, but they are definitely useful for the new guys of the club. So, make full use of the tips as you might be using them at least few times. Cheers.

Owning a car

If you decide to drive in Queensland, please obey the traffic laws here as the traffic
police are a lot more stringent than back home and the fines are hefty.

Tax

If you intend to work or hold an interest bearing account in Australia, you require a
Tax File Number (TFN) and you can apply for it at http://www.ato.gov.au

Charity Shops

There is a YWCA charity shop selling second hand clothes, shoes and books in Toowong. Most, if not all items sell for below $5. It is located at 51 Sherwood avenue, just down from Toowong village.
