blog: UQMSA Resume Writing Workshop

Yes, its your ticket to a Job Interview! :)

We’ve held a workshop on the 15th of April and the follow up workshop was on the 13th of May!

Thanks to Ms. Celia Yeo and Mr. Rahmat Shazi (our very own UQMSA Secretary), we’ve learnt a whole bunch of new knowledge on how to compose a resume which will actually catch the eye of the recruitment officer of a certain certain company!!

With Celia’s interesting way of presenting, we were totally engrossed in her talks. Besides, we’ve also got to do hands on work like identifying good resume and bad resume, and also write a short example of our resume!

We would like to thank all who have participated in both workshops and also, special special thanks to Celia Yeo from BEL Faculty and Rahmat from UQMSA again for their invaluable knowledge!! :)

We’ll see you soon! Have fun with the last bit of semester left!

Warmest Regards,

UQMSA Committee

blog: UQMSA Jumble Sale!

Jumble WHAT? Yes, UQMSA has held its very own Jumble Sale on a busy Thursday! Think clothes, heels, cds, textbooks, gift boxes, Scrabble, even a pretty pink Dream Catcher! All pre-owned and still in good condition!

Stuff!

It was a totally fun opportunity to hang around with the fellow UQMSA Committees and our dear volunteers, to serve customers like we’re owning a shop to ourselves! There were people stopping by to look at some stuff and even tried on some clothes! And the best seller, was none other than, NASI LEMAK! NOT pre-owned though. Therefore, Nasi Lemak stole the limelight for the day. Nonetheless, some happy buyers went home with a big smile on their faces, satisfied with their reward by shopping with UQMSA!

aDSC05479 And so did the happy sellers :) Look at how happy they were. HAH!

It was our very first Jumble Sale, so we would like to thank all who have participated, volunteered and contributed!

We hope to see you guys around  soon at our very next event, UQMSA Biggest Morning Tea! Remember, fill your stomach with a good cause!!

Warmest Regards,

UQMSA Committee.
