Assignments and exams have been keeping
our heads down for way too long. It’s time to raise your head and look up at
the clear night sky, as you will be able to see the roundest
moon of the year pretty soon!
Yes, the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival is drawing nigh, and UQMSA is bringing every one of you a small
gathering to celebrate this traditional festival together!
Date: 6th of September, 2014 (Saturday)
Time: 7 PM to 9.30 PM
Venue: Guyatt Park, St Lucia
Mid Autumn Festival is never complete
without MOONCAKES. Assorted
flavours of mooncakes will be served on the very day! To our Muslim friends, HALAL mooncakes will be served as well so don’t hesitate to come and join the
fun! To add some Malaysian ambiance to the celebration, we will also be
preparing some KUIH for you.
While chilling with your friends
after filling your tummy, there will be a few games for
you to enjoy and to put the celebration mood up a notch. To further
heighten the excitement, winners of each game will be able to walk
away prizes! Eager to know what games we will be having? Stay tuned
until the event begins!
The celebration will be wrapped up
with a Lantern Parade around Guyatt Park. Approximately 100 lanterns have been
prepared for you, but you are also very much welcome to bring your own
lantern(s) if you wish to.
How much do I have to pay? Well, this is a FREE event exclusively for our members. So
