Outdoor Excursion to Stradbroke Island!



Heads Up, UQMSA Members !

Easter Break is in A WEEK ! We know many of you have been too busy to plan anything for the hols, so fret not and let UQMSA plan it for you !

This hols, for our first outdoor excursion of the year, we’ll be taking you to *drum roll please*..........STRADBROKE ISLAND.

North Stradbroke Island, commonly known as Straddie is the second LARGEST sand island in the world ! Let’s just say, it’s gorgeous !

But of course, we’re not just going to go there to see the scenery. We’re going to take you SURFING ! Or more precisely, we’re going to take you for SURFING LESSONS.

Here, let us just give you a rough break down of the ITINERARY.
1.5 hours of learning how to catch the waves to surf

We’ll take the North Gorge walk to Point Lookout where dolphins, turtles and other marine life are said to have been sighted there.

Chilling on the beach where we might play some frisbee/volleyball and getting those sunkissed skin ready for the hols.

  
So, if you’re keen, come and get your ticket for Straddie !

Tickets : $45 (bus, ferry, lunch and surfing lesson are ALL included) ***ONLY for UQMSA MEMBERS***

Date : 4th of April, 2015 (Saturday)

Time : 7.30am, registration at UQ Chancellor’s Place.


Tickets will be sold on the 30/3/2015 (Monday) 31/3/2015 (Tuesday), from 10 AM to 1 PM. Our booth will be located at UQ Union complex, right opposite Boost Juice & On a roll bakery ! TICKETS ARE VERY LIMITED ! SO GET YOUR TICKETS QUICKLY !

Please also note that tickets are ONLY purchasable by UQMSA members and that 1 person can only book for 2 spots including themselves.

For members with swimming concerns, the surfing coaches has ENSURED us that even those who can’t swim will be able to learn how to surf. The water won’t be too deep and the surf board will always be attached to you.
